Kelly has an Honours BBA and is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers, Affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a CEA, a Certified Financial Planner, and received the distinction of Fellow of FP Canada in 2015. He has over 25 years of financial industry experience.

His roles have been to support business and agricultural managers, mentor junior advisors, be a resource to senior advisors and an estate administration specialist for Ontario Credit Union. Administering over 200+ estates per year for 18 years. He is now the national Senior Financial Planning Advisor for the Centre of Network Skills, Expertise and Financial Planning services Desjardins Independent Network. He has given back through volunteering for his profession and community. Some of the committees he has been involved in:
